Firstly, a huge thanks to everyone who made it to the shows in Germany two weeks ago!! And congratulations to everyone at Melodica Festival Cologne for organising such a terrific weekend of music. In fact, it was SO much fun I caught a virus and have spent the last two weeks in bed recovering. Just in time for the NEXT TOUR!

New single ‘The Hypnotist’ premiered on Paste Magazine

Great news! The fine people over at Paste Magazine have just premiered my brand new single The Hypnotist.

The single features piano and backing vocals by very special guest, the Swell Season’s Markéta Irglová, as well as additional production by Mio Sturla Thorisson (Greenhouse Studios) who also mixed and mastered the song.
I’m very excited by this and hope you are too.

And secondly, in April this year I’ll be releasing a brand new single. It’s for a song called ‘The Hypnotist’ and I believe it’s the best song I’ve ever recorded. I’ve had the fortune of working with some amazingly talented people on this track, and I can’t wait to share the details and sounds with you in a few short months.
Right now it’s back to nursing my mid-afternoon coffee and planning what I hope to be the most creative year of my life.

From Berlin to Bournemouth…
Ah Berlin. A city as creative, effervescent and inspiring as the many artists she shelters. I always love coming back, and filling up the creative tank. It was nice to see some dry snow, and watch little kids on sleighs plough down the hills of Mauer Park at breakneck speed.
Last weekend I performed at a terrific independent festival called ‘Musique Maudite’ which was held last Saturday at a gallery space in Moabit. The whole point of this festival is to culturally activate an area of Berlin that hasn’t received as much creative attention as other more popular areas such as Kreuzberg, Neukolln, Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. It was a great line-up featuring a bunch of local songwriters, and others from Japan, France, Ireland and Bulgaria.
I also had the chance to meet up with one of my partners in creative crime, the endlessly talented Claudio Donzelli (who performs in stunning bands like Athebustop and The Mighty Oaks). We hung out and took photos, I liked how this one turned out.
Now I’m back in Bournemouth where I’m pretty excited about playing my first show in a week or so at a small place called ‘Buffalo Bar’. If you happen to live there check out the link below and come along. I’m always happy to meet new friends
